How Payouts Work on Trad Market

Welcome to Trad Market! If you're gearing up for your first sale, here's a clear walkthrough of how and when you'll get paid.

Trad Market uses Stripe to process payments and pay sellers. To receive payouts, you'll need to connect a Stripe account — you can do this from your account settings, and it only takes a few minutes.

What Happens When Your Item Sells

When a buyer completes a purchase, their payment is collected immediately — but your earnings are held by Trad Market until the transaction is complete. This protects both you and the buyer while the item is in transit.

Here's the timeline from sale to payout:

1. Ship your item within 3 business days. Once a sale comes through, you have 3 business days to ship the item and add tracking information. Prompt shipping keeps buyers happy and keeps your account in good standing.

2. Your payout is initiated. Once the carrier confirms delivery, we initiate your payout within 24 hours. From there, it typically takes 2–5 business days for funds to arrive in your bank account, depending on your bank.

In-person pickup: For orders marked as local pickup, the payout is initiated once the buyer confirms they've received the item. If the buyer doesn't confirm within 7 days, the order automatically completes.

Established Sellers

Once you've built a selling history, payouts begin when your item is confirmed in transit rather than after delivery.

What Trad Market Deducts

Before your payout is sent, Trad Market deducts a 7% marketplace fee from the order total. You'll also see standard payment processing fees from Stripe. Everything is clearly itemized so there are no surprises.

What If Something Goes Wrong?

Payout fails? We automatically retry failed payouts up to 3 times over 7 days. You'll be notified at each step and prompted to verify your banking details. Your earnings are never lost — they stay in your account until the payout succeeds.

Haven't connected Stripe yet? No worries. Any pending earnings transfer automatically as soon as you connect your Stripe account. Nothing is forfeited.
