How we protect you
Fraud screening on every transaction. Every payment processed on Trad Market is automatically screened by machine learning-powered fraud detection. High-risk transactions are flagged or blocked before they ever reach you — so you're not left guessing whether an order is legitimate.
Your payment is held securely until you ship. When a buyer pays for your instrument, those funds are held securely by our payment platform. This protects both parties and gives us the ability to act quickly if an issue arises before the item is in transit.
Advanced buyer authentication. For higher-risk or high-value transactions, our payment system can require buyers to verify their identity with their bank before the purchase goes through. When a buyer is authenticated this way, the fraud liability shifts to their bank — not to you.
We handle disputes on your behalf. If a buyer files a payment dispute, you don't have to fight it alone. Because all transactions flow through Trad Market, we have full visibility into the payment, communication, and shipping details, and we submit evidence and advocate on your behalf.
Shipping insurance is available at checkout. When you print a shipping label through Trad Market, you have the option to purchase shipping insurance. We strongly recommend this for valuable instruments — it's the best way to protect yourself against loss or damage in transit.

- Complete all transactions on Trad Market — never accept payment off-platform
- Ship within the stated processing time and provide valid tracking
- Describe your instrument accurately and include clear photos
- Respond to buyer messages and any issues promptly through Trad Market
- Keep all communication on the platform so we have a record if we need to step in
What's not covered
- Transactions arranged or paid for outside of Trad Market
- Items shipped without valid tracking information
- Uninsured shipments lost or damaged in transit (we recommend always purchasing shipping insurance)
- Listings with inaccurate or misleading descriptions
