Trad Market Buyer Protection

Report any issues within 7 days of delivery and we'll help you sort it out.

Every purchase on Trad Market is backed by Buyer Protection. If your instrument is lost, damaged, or doesn't match its listing description, we'll make sure you're taken care of.

How it works

  1. Contact the seller within 7 days of delivery. Message the seller through Trad Market describing the issue. Be sure to take photos and/or videos right away — you'll need these if the issue needs to be escalated.
  2. No response? Reach out to us. If the seller hasn't responded within two business days, email Trad Market Support with a description of the issue along with your photos, videos, and a repair estimate if applicable.
  3. We'll take it from there. We'll review the transaction, work with the seller, and issue your refund when warranted. All payments are processed securely through Trad Market, so we can step in directly.

What's covered

You're eligible for a refund if your instrument is:

  • Declared lost by the carrier
  • Damaged in transit
  • Significantly different from how it was described
  • Part of a fraudulent order or scam

Issues must be reported within 7 days of delivery, or within 14 days of the anticipated delivery date if the item hasn't arrived.

What's not covered

  • Issues reported outside the 7-day return window
  • Off-site transactions of any kind
  • Change-of-mind returns after the return window has passed
  • Forwarded or re-shipped packages
  • Normal wear consistent with the item's described condition (e.g., patina, key wear, or pad condition disclosed in the listing)
  • Subjective differences in tone or playability unrelated to the described condition
  • Items modified or altered by the buyer after delivery

Your payment is always secure

Funds are held until orders are fulfilled, giving us the ability to issue refunds when needed. Never send payment outside of Trad Market — if a seller asks you to, please report it immediately.
